Merit Must do #1

At tech I learnt how to sow lines it was fun and i was very good at it at morning tea we didn't do very much and just talked on the way back i sat with Wariesha and we talk about what we did at tech .
my project is going really well and im going to be able to bring it home next term .

Drama Improvisation Term 1

WALT: apply the techniques of improvisation to a range of different scenarios.

Improvisation techniques that I have used successfully are always saying yes .

Improvisation techniques that I would like to have more practice at just think fast .

The thing that I enjoyed most about this unit of learning was doing the improv games because they were challenging .

The thing that I found most challenging during this unit of learning was trying to carry on the story with out pausing because it was hard to carry it on when I had no ideas

My favourite improv game was name rap because i got to really challenge myself .

My next step / something I need to work on further  in improvisation is be fast at my answer because i tack to long to answer .

Term 1 Intergrated learning

We have been learning all about What makes a good leader.

We identified that good leaders show 6 main character traits. These are Integrity, Trustworthy, Resilient, Goal Focused, An Active Thinker and someone who is Motivational.

The leadership trait that I think I show the most is Motivational because when we were at camp I cheered on others if they were scared or unsure about something.

The leadership trait I would most like to develop on is goal focused because I sometimes get off task .

Something NEW I have learned about leadership is that  people can be
leaders with out you even knowing e.g a coach of a soccer team.

The SOLO level that I reached during this unit of learning is extended abstract .

My next step in learning about leadership is to apply everything that I have learned about leadership to my own leadership roles .

Mean Median Mode and Range

I can describe mean median mode and range . 

Mean : you need to add all the numbers and then divide them . The average. 

Median : you need to put the set into the lowest to highest  and then the answer will be the middle number of your set of numbers .

Mode : is the number you see the most .

Range : were you get the highest number and the lowest and then minus it .

  

I can read and interpret a range of graphs

For maths I have been learning to read and interpret a range of graphs. This relates to the National Standards as it meets the criteria of: Delete the ones that are not yours

• I can compare distributions visually (Year ⅞ Standard)

My next step is to use these in my leadership investigation next term.

My Strengths

The striking strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were keeping my eyes on the ball and also standing side on .

The throwing and catching strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were Cup your hands or reverse cup as early as possible and also Look at where you are aiming to throw the ball. Point to where you want the ball to go.

My Next Steps

To improve my striking of a ball I need to play through the shot / follow though .
because i need more power in my shots .

To Improve my catching and fielding I need to have softer hands .
because sometimes my hands are to hard so the ball falls out of the nest .

The game that I enjoyed the most was the game that you had to get it into the hoops and then get it into the goal cones .

Know the equivalent decimal and percentage .

We had to get 80 smart points and the thing that i found challenging was all the fraction questions they were really hard but the things that i found easy were all the questions where there were decimals .
